Busy signal when we call out
No matter who I call, I get a busy signal. We know the other party is not on the phone. Why do we always get a busy signal.??

What make and model phone are you using? Is it possible your phone is affected by the 3-g shutdown?

It's brand new. We're thinking that at&t needs to activate the phone. I tried calling on my cell and just get arun around I just get transferred back and forth. A company like att should have golden customer service. Today it's been a nightmare.

Let's discover why you're receiving a busy signal when making out going calls, sun622!
Reset your network settings to refresh your connection. Resetting the network restores the default settings on the device. Be aware, Bluetooth pairing and Wi-Fi settings are deleted and will need to be re-added. You will not lose data like pictures, videos, or text.
Next, visit our AT&T Wireless Support website and select Get Suggestions. You'll be directed to the Fix an Issue section. From there you will select your device then navigate back to that section and click Connection>Phone Calls. Lastly, follow the prompts and you'll come across very helpful personalized solutions.
Also, learn about other ways your wireless service can be affected by reading our Forums article titled Dropped Calls & Low Signal - Solutions From The AT&T Community.
We'd like to gather a few more details to help with providing further assistance:
