Received email from ATT where my wireless number and account where the same?
Hey, I recently removed my account for my wireless number from a user id and linked it to a new my Att user id account I created. When I did so I received an automated email from Att that said something to the effect of you have successfully added the following Att account to this user id. It then said last four digits of wireless number and stated four digits that are not the last four of my wireless number but are the last four of my account number. Then it said last four digits of account number and stated the same four digits (the last four digits of my account number) when I go on my Att everything looks correct. The correct wireless number is there. I find it a bit concerning though that I received an email with obviously incorrect information and it makes me worry that perhaps incorrect information was entered somewhere in some capacity. Unless this is a common glitch/programing error?

Yes, everything works fine. I’m just curious how an automated email that is pulling information from my account directly could get information inaccurate.

Yeah that’s what I hope and that’s what the customer service person I spoke to predicted was the issue. However when I asked if there was anyway to confirm whether to not it was an error or if this error had ever happened before or what caused it they were not able to give me any answers. I guess I just really want to know for sure and to see if this has happened to any one else.
