My iPhone keeps saying searching at the top and I have tired turning it on

Thank you for reaching out to us regarding this! I’m very sorry to hear your phone says “searching” and you are unable to make calls. I have experienced the same issue before, and it is very disheartening not being able to call loved ones. I would love to assist in getting this resolved.

One thing it can be is the SIM card of the device. I would first check there to ensure it’s properly seated into your phone. Our Device Support page, has step by step instructions on how to take the SIM out of your phone. When you arrive, please select your device’s make and model, and then click Tutorials > About your device > Insert SIM Card. You will want to check the gold side of the SIM to ensure there is no corrosion.

If your SIM card has gone bad, the next best step would be to replace it. The great thing is you can replace it at any AT&T Corporate Store. Our handy Store Locator tool can help find the closest one to you!
