Firstnet is slow

Hey all, I'm a FirstNet costumer since pretty much the beginning and experience has been good so far. Lately I've been having slow service. I live in PA and where I live, I don't even get 5G  and I get one to three bars of 4G LTE. Mind you I don't live in the middle of the woods either lol I work in NYC and I have pretty good service there but it's not great. I get 5G and sometimes 5G+ but when the service shows just 5G, it's pretty slow or sometimes horrible. I play mobile games, COD mobile, and at times the game is extremely laggy due to the slow service even though it shows full bars for 5G. I could be next to someone playing the same game and they have a different service provider, tmobile or Verizon, and they have no issues what so ever. I have tried tmobile and Verizon where I live and no issues with them, 5G service and no lags. Is this a firstnet issue or a AT&T issue?? Thanks for any help.

Tried what?  Contacting AT&T?  Have you been unable to get through, or find anyone who can help you?  The only response you’ll get from AT&T is to tell you to contact them.  As far as getting more speed or better coverage, chances are that customer service can’t do anything about that.  That requires building more cell infrastructure, not just pushing a switch.  If other carriers provide better service where you are, then that’s probably the best option.

I thought Firstnet’s main point was to be a reliable communication system for first responders, not a higher speed system used for gaming and other high bandwidth uses.

@dwill05 trying to reach them and I figured that would be their answer anyway. But funny u mention that, that the whole point of firstnet is to be a reliable service for first responders. Just to respond to u I had to switch on the wifi because the full 5 bars of 5GE was sooooo slow to load up the web page. Mind u, at that time I was in NYC where usually most carriers have excellent service. Either for work or personal use, it's not reliable service if it can't perform when needed.

@chiefjr  It’s clear from your other posts that you plan to pull your contracts in Virginia.  No real need to post in multiple thread letting everyone else know.
