Unable to Activate eSim

Hello, I paid for a prepaid e-sim service but it is not working. I paid 54 dollars and I still can't activate the SIM card on my cell phone. When I try to connect my cell phone to the E-SIM card using the QR code it tells me that it is disabled and that I should contact you. But I can't since my phone number doesn't work and I can't communicate with their prepaid service. I would like you to sincerely send me a physical SIM card so I can continue with my plan since it is a sacrifice to be able to pay so much money for a plan that does not work. Furthermore, having paid 54 dollars, my plan should already have money in the account and I don't know why it asks me to add more money to the account, the error is SSACT-543

Please I need help. I have tried to do this process thousands of times but I cannot solve this problem, I have spoken to the website's chat service, restarted my phone many times, I have searched everywhere for places to contact the prepaid service and nothing works for me. Also, my phone number doesn't work so I can't make phone calls.

Hi @MANuell, that's not the experience we want for you. Let's help you with setting up your e-sim, please follow the below steps:

  1. Make sure your device is connected to Wi-Fi or cellular service.
  2. Go to Settings, then select 'AT&T plan ready to be installed'.
  3. Select Continue.
  4. Your eSIM will now download and install.

Phone not accepting texts or calls? Try one or all of the following

  • Power cycle your device
  • Reset the network

Still having trouble. Sign in to our Troubleshoot and Resolve and follow the prompts.

ATT help didn't ask what phone you are using... ? ?

If you are using an iPhone, it has to be unlocked and capable of working on any network.

If you using an Android phone, I would have to be a North American model of a pixel or Samsung and unlocked to accept an AT&T SIM.

If you have come from a different country with an Android phone, not a North American model, it likely cannot work in the USA which is the reason service is disabled.

Where is that supposed to say the option to install the plan?

What device are you using. Did you get a QR code to scan to install your eSIM?

It may be worth going to an AT&T store. Also, if your plan isn’t working. Have you refilled enough to activate the plan?

I had a phone number change last year, my sim and new number wasn’t working (simply said No Service). It turned out as the balance wasn’t enough to activate the plan. Once it was enough. The sim activated. Could it be that. Does $54 cover the monthly cost of your chosen plan?

Hi I am using an iPhone xr, I bought the one month plan which cost me $50 plus $4 from the SIM card plus I believe. That the $50 should already be in the prepaid account. And lastly I live far away from an AT&T store, what I ask is that you send me a physical sim card to see if the problem can be solved.

This is a customer based forum, so no one can send you a SIM of any kind.  You need to contact AT&T directly.

Or go into an AT&T store.

It depends on whether the price you’ve paid includes the tax. In California a $25 recharge costs me $26 something. So could perhaps be a case of your account not being at the $50 mark. If you know your number, it may be worth calling it to see what message you hear. If it’s activated, it’ll go to voicemail.

Only reason I keep referring to this is the problems I had after changing my number, until the plan was active (and it wasn’t as the balance wasn’t quite enough), the SIM card didn’t pick up the network.

Be worth contacting AT&T customer care.

In reality I paid 55.33 adding taxes, as I keep telling you, I cannot contact AT&T because my number does not work to call.

Then you’ll have to go into a corporate store.  Their contact methods are on the contact page.  They aren’t going to DM you or reach out to you through the forum.
