Why is my wi-fi calling option greyed out?

I have an AT&T unlocked LG V60 Thinq currently using T-Mobile. they were unable to troubleshoot further and say it is likely that the phone was not fully unlocked. so I did the unlock procedure the other night and still have no luck. How can I enable wi-fi calling on my device?

Once you carrier unlock your device, how it functions on another Network is completely between you and that other network.

There is no such thing as a partial unlock. But you're using a phone that still contains AT&T software. And it's from a manufacturer which is no longer in the mobile phone business.

The point is it's not an AT&T issue unless you're an AT&T customer, using a branded phone that's not working correctly.

AT&T can't do anything to make the phone work as you want on T-Mobile.

Let's look into why the Wi-Fi calling option was greyed out together, @SirLLoydCyrus.

Special thanks to our ACE @formerlyknownas for their expertise. It appears that the unlocked LG V60 ThinQ is not appearing on our list of unlocked devices. That probably explains why you may have hit a snag when trying to enable your Wi-Fi calling option. You can use this resource to enable Wi-Fi calling. This page will show you how to find out if your phone supports Wi-Fi calling and how to set it up. Just simply click the box on the far right and an instructional video will guide you further.

We also recommend using our device support tool  for some troubleshooting and Wi-Fi connectivity help. Just simply select and click on your desired device topic to get started. Please share the results with us.

🙄  Well Nelson got it backwards.  But it doesn't matter.  AT&T can't help, it's a t-mobile problem now.

The V60 was my least favorite phone of all time.  Fortunately I bought it cheap, so it didn't hurt when I gave it away to someone who needed a smartphone.

The Wi-Fi Calling option is greyed out, so none of that troubleshooting applies to me, I'm trying to get it un-greyed.  I have scoured the internet to find why the option would be greyed out and have found nothing as of yet.

the "mobile networks" page in settings seems to be different than the one T-Mobile expected, which is what brought me here.

I quite like the LG phones, and I also got this one on the cheaper end, knowing the LG was unlikely to support it for very long - I don't regret the risk, though this wi-fi calling issue is quite a nuisance I do not think it's a phone issue.
