Verizon callers cannot leave a voicemail on my iPhone 14 Pro on AT&T service

At least four Verizon friends cannot leave me a voicemail on my iPhone (I have AT&T as my carrier). My iPhone 14 Pro rings and if I don’t answer voicemail doesn’t take over, actually nothing more happens. This is my husband’s phone and we spent over an hour with 611 to no avail.

After calling AT&T a few times and getting passed around each time we finally found a woman in FLA who had the solution! She had Jeff power off the phone while she did some type of reset on her end. After the allotted time he powered it back on and she called him back. As she stayed on the line we had the friends on Verizon call and successfully leave messages! She was some one that we were transferred to from the regular 611. She stated that it was one of the firdt things a tech should try to fix the problem.

To answer your question, Your line may not be set up to use visual voicemail, which is a feature that allows you to see and manage your voicemails on your iPhone screen.

 

Alternatively, you can try some common troubleshooting steps that may help you fix the problem, such as:

  • Make sure you have the latest iOS update, and you set up voicemail on your iPhone properly.
  • Force close the Phone app, then reopen it.
  • Turn off cellular data, wait a minute or two, then turn it back on.
  • Restart your iPhone.
  • Call your voicemail directly by pressing and holding the number 1 on the keypad.

Just spoke with Apple. They said voicemail is carrier based and that Apple can't help me at all and to call AT&T back.

This is happening to me as well.  Everyone of my family and friends that have Verizon are experiencing the same thing when they call me.  It is clearly an issue with AT&T. Would love to know if anyone has gotten this resolved yet.  So frustrating!

I'm having the same issue. I've spent HOURS on the phone with Tier 1 and Tier 2 support and nobody can fix it. Any ideas???

I see you had your issue solved. After HOURS on the phone with AT&T nobody has come up with a solution for me. Do you know exactly what the representative did for you so I can call back and have them do the same for me??
