time zone setting

Why is my account summary showing CDT at the top and CST on the detailed description of each call?  This is a discrepancy in two time zones for the same call and it is on every call.  This is probably why I cannot get my comments or my online chat posts to be seen.  I am in a time warp.

Hello @mollyp,  we understand where you're coming from, let's take a closer look into why the time zones are showing different on your  account summary.

To answer your questions, It appears that your account summary is showing two different time zones: Central Daylight Time (CDT) at the top during a call, and Central Standard Time (CST) in the breakdown of numbers and details.

Truthfully, this could be a software of hardware issue. The fact that you have a Microcell at home wouldn’t have any bearing on your service outside the home to a cellular network, it automatically updates its clock to correspond to your current time zone. If you're unable to connect to a network (for example, when you're on an airplane) use the Time settings to manually change the time zone on the Android device.

The Android retains the time zone change until you either change it again manually or re-enable automatic time zone retrieval. Press the "Menu" button on the Android, then tap "Settings." Scroll down to the bottom of the Settings menu, then tap "Date & Time." Tap the box next to "Automatic" to uncheck it.

Please try a factory reset. To perform the hard reset, turn the phone off. Then press and hold the Volume Down and Power button for a few seconds. You may release held keys as soon as the exclamation mark appears on the screen. Press the following sequence of buttons: Volume Up - > Volume Down-> Power - > Volume Down. Well done! You have just performed a hard reset operation.

Note: Resetting your network settings deletes previously associated Wi-Fi networks, security passcodes, Bluetooth devices and cellular network data settings.

If you continue to seeing differences, you may want to contact the manufacturer of you device for more support.

Please feel free to reach out to us if you have any further questions/ concerns. We'll be happy to help you.

Thank you for contacting AT&T Community Forums.

Thank you so much.  I can also add as a clue that my time format at bottom of date and time settings has a different time standing still at 1:00. It never matches or reflects the upper two correct time shown.  Is it because it is just an example on the last item?  Or is it hard set on a standstill of 1:00 or 13:00 in the format to screw my phone up?  I did factory reset it before reading this but not the way you described.  I can do this if it works better.  Please let me know.  Thank you again for your response!!
