Numbersync Missing - Samsung Galaxy watch 6 Classic and Note 20 Ultra 5g
Hello,
NumberSync is missing from the watch. Not in the pull down list from the top and not in Connections area in settings. It's simply missing.
It is connected to an ATT mobile plan. It can call and receive calls on the number assigned to it, with my Note turned off.
It does not seem like the app gets installed after the mobile plan is added. I did get a request to reboot so that carrier apps can be installed, but it does not install NumberSync.

Where exactly do you think numberssync is supposed to appear on the watch? (It's not)
If calls and texts to and from your phone are appearing and working from the watch, then it is working.
Numbersync is added to the phone line in order to sync services between the watch and the phone so that you can call text and perform some data functions while your phone is not with you or off.

If you are not getting calls and texts from your phone number, but instead from the watch number, that means you have not set up number sync through your phone

Ummm, yes, yes it is. There is both a quick access app at the top swipe down, and it is also supposed to be in Connections under Settings.
Also, you cannot set up the sync if a code does not appear on your watch. That code is generated from within the NumberSync app.
That is, unless this has changed with the Galaxy Watch6. I have a Watch4 sitting right next to me and the icons are where I describe them.

"Sync Watch" is also missing from the Galaxy Wear app on my mobile device.
You can also check out this post of a user who is having the same problem. They are replacing his watch (which won't do anything):

This is what appears on my ATT NumberSync settings page when I click Sync Watch: "Now, get the 5-digit code from your wearable’s NumberSync settings." Where would I find this code?

Hey MatG,
In one of the links you sent, the instructions ask for the below:
That option is missing from my Galaxy Wear app. What should I do now?
Also, I got no PM from you :)

@Drunkpirate having a similar issue with teh GW6 Classic I just got. Worked fine with my GW4 Classic, but like you, I'm not seeing the option. Have been fighting with it and ended out creating a new line of service just to make sure it wasn't something with my other watch. It created fine, said it setup numbersync, I got a text about it, but still no option on the phone or watch. May go into a corporate store tomorrow...

@formerlyknownas Any other suggestions since everyone with a GW6 watch has this issue and we all remember needing an app on the watch to complete it?

I wish I was being totally sarcastic, but I'm not. Switch to Verizon.
AT&t's number sync program has always been terrible. I gave up on it probably in 2015 because it kept unsyncing. Verizon number share is flawless.
Since some of you had done this before, you know you have to set up number sync on the watch and be on a post paid plan. You know you have to use the Galaxy Wear app not the Google Wear app.
And if your devices are not AT&T branded don't use number sync use Samsung's talk and text another devices which works beautifully with unlocked devices.
