Godfadda,

You may control the number of seconds before an unanswered call goes to voicemail.

This is a “GSM” protocol setting.

First, determine the phone number of your voicemail system by dialing   *#61#  .

Write down the phone number. Example:    +1xxxyyyzzzz  .

To set time, dial    **61*+1xxxyyyzzzz*11*30#    Then press the green call button.

To dial a + sign press and hold the 0 until it changes.

The 30 above will set it to 30 seconds, or about 5 or 6 rings.

Have you called Apple? It's their device not AT&T's.

Interesting. All my Google searching mentioned contacting AT&T.  I even did the chat with a Rep and he said that is the only way to change it is through AT&T.  Unfortunately, whatever the Chat person tried did not fix the issue.

Can't hurt to call Apple to cover all the bases. It could just be a system default on AT&T of which there is nothing that can probably be done. Unless you can get ahold of a CS Agent who knows something.

Good point.  It can’t hurt. 👍

S2in954,

Thanks for the info.  It seems like it now takes 5 rings before going into voicemail.
