AT&T protect plus-backup failure w/o solution

I have AT&T protect plus And tried to backup my iPhone so I could switch to a new one but the backup keeps failing. I tried using the help portion of the app and it was completely useless. Searching at@t website provide even more frustrating. If something 'fails' you would expect to be able to find out why to correct it. I tried calling support using the app... It's 9:15pm on Portland, or... I got a automated message that the tech support center was closed and I had to call back during business hours! Ok... If a problem can exist in an app, post the solution or offer a way to provide it. What are the possible reasons for a failed backup.my wifi is top of the line, no connection issues, I have plenty of data available. It may be that my storage is full but the app makes it very confusing on this issue. Need help.

I am sorry that the Protect Plus backup app is not working for you. I know how important it is to have a good backup system for your device.

 

To get additional support for Protect Plus, you can go to https://protectioncenter.att.com/.

 

Also, Apple has a simplified way for backing up and restoring your device. You have the option of using either the iCloud or iTunes. For more information, go to Backing Up Your iPhone.

I  have a Samsung Galaxy tablet and a Galaxy 6 edge phone. I rarely use my tablet and when I turned it on today I was unable to back up my contacts etc. The tech had me uninstall the app and deleted my account so that I had to set it up again. Sadly that also deleted my Android phone that was working just fine. Now both my tablet and my phone will not back up anything. It says failure. Since it's happening on both my phone and my tablet I would have to think something is wrong with the app? We tried signing into my phone with one email account that was registered and my other email account which was registered for my tablet. Neither worked! Help
