Unable to recieve MMS message in group text or individual text

  • I havent been able to receive any pictures via messages when on wifi. Ive done the following and  yet it still does not auto download.

  • clear your messages app's cache and data to see if the issue persists.

    1. From your Home screen, swipe down to reveal the notification bar and tap Settings icon.
    2. Select Apps & notifications.
    3. Select See all apps.
    4. Select Messages app from the list.
    5. Select Storage.
    6. Select Clear cache.
    7. Select Clear data.

Now reboot your Samsung Galaxy S9

  • Any other suggestions ?

Allow us to lend a hand, @Daisi53!

There are a couple of other steps you can take which may help resolve your inability to receive either group or individual SMS messages.

  • Turn Advanced Messaging off then on again:
    • From the home screen, select the Messages app.
    • Select the Menu icon, then select Settings.
    • TURN OFF/ON ADVANCED MESSAGING: From the Messages settings screen, select Advanced MessagingAdvanced Messaging switch.
  • Follow these steps to check your software version and update accordingly.
  • Try rebooting your device in Safe Mode:
    • While in Safe Mode, your phone will only have access to core apps that were pre-installed in the phone at the factory.

      1. To activate Safe Mode, hold the power key until the Power off icon appears.

      2. Press and hold the Power off icon until the Safe Mode prompt appears.

      3. Select Safe Mode to confirm.

Once your device has powered on, you should see the words "Safe Mode" in the lower right/left corner of your screen. Safe Mode allows your phone to run as normal but restricts third-party apps or services from being used.

If you put your phone in Safe Mode and no longer experience the issue(s), you've determined that the problem is not in your phone's operating system. Instead, it’s likely from an app that’s been downloaded onto your device.

Let us know how this worked for you.

Still not working.  I've read its an issue with ATT. Is there a fix planned?
