Texting an international number

Texting is a great way to keep in touch with friends and family, even when they are in other countries.  I would be happy to help answer your question about this!

When sending a text to the +61, which I am showing is Australia; there would be a pay-per-use charge unless you are on a plan which includes international texts.   You can always check this out by logging into your account and looking at International Options.

For details about plans and fees, please check our international resources.  You can find the texting information here.  You will see the available packages, and below is the pay per use rates.  I am showing it would $0.25/SMS and $0.50/MMS sent.

What happens If I remove the "International Day Pass" feature from my phone and text my friend who is aboard. Will the text be sent or rejected?

Day pass is a roaming plan.   

If you are in the USA, you are not roaming, and day pass is not charged and doesn't apply. 

   Texting to other countries from the USA may be free.  Please read your customer service summary in your account. Your plan may include free texting to almost 200 other countries.

@Tshorolpa Removing international day pass won’t change anything. International day pass is for when you are out of the US.

Is there a way to disable an international call feature via ATT site?  I have 4 lines in my plan and out of those 4, I want to disable international call feature in one phone (or all 4 phone).

Yes.  Select the line.  Select see all features.  UNCHECK the spot for international long distance at pay per use rate $0.
