Problem opening certain websites: Your connection is not private

I just started AT&T internet service. The first week everything looks fine, but the next week I cannot open my university's websites and some other websites I use for day-to-day work. It always says

Your connection is not private

Attackers might be trying to steal your information from kavlicosmo.uchicago.edu (for example, passwords, messages, or credit cards). Learn more

NET::ERR_CERT_DATE_INVALID

Moreover, when I use my university vpn, it says

Untrusted Server Blocked!

which never happened before.

What's the problem and how can I fix it?????

Good Morning @hqchen,

I can understand the struggle with interrupted internet due to "NET::ERR_CERT_DATE_INVALID" and we can help.

It appears this is an SSL certificate issue with an invalid date. Check the time and date setting on your device and make sure it is correct.

  • When was the last time you rebooted your computer and checked to make sure all updates have been performed?
  • What operating system are you using and what browser are you using?
  • Have you tried a different browser or to clear cache and cookies in the browser then close all open browsers and open a new one to try the connection again?

Please let us know. We do look forward to resolving your issue.

Thank you,

I see the same behaviour when I use wifi but once I switch to LTE, the website loads without any issue so it has nothing to do with the browser; it’s mainly ATT gateway problem.
