MMS text message size limit

I wanted to know what the MMS text message size limit is. I saw a post when I search online by AT&T support saying 1 MB for standard and 10 MB for Advanced, but that was 2 years old.

Greetings usneddie! We'd be more than happy to clarify the file-size for MMS messages.

AT&T's network currently supports MMS up to 1MB; however, device limitations may restrict MMS message size to a smaller size before allowing the picture to send. Both devices must be MMS-capable.

If the message being received exceeds the maximum file size of your phone, we advise to:

Remove an element of the message (picture, wallpaper, text, sound clip, or voice recording)
Change to a smaller picture or wallpaper
Change to a shorter sound clip/voice recording

Maximum file size may vary by device; for specific-device information, go to the Device Support tool:

Select your device.
Select About your Device>Specifications.
Scroll to camera and review its size to determine MMS message file-size sending capability.
