Incoming SMS messages are being delayed anywhere from minutes to 4-5 hours

I can send messages and all other features on my phone (Samsung Galaxy S8) are functioning.

 

It's been going on the last 2 or 3 days and has been causing a lot of issues. 

I haven't installed anything new.

I have done a soft reset several times.

I have reset all Network settings.

I tried a different messaging app and it acted the same way.

Network or phone sending me the message doesn't matter (My wife has a S8 and is on same AT&T plan and still getting delayed messages from her)

 

Is there something that can be done or looked into on the network side?

Update:

I brought my phone and it they put in a new sim card.  Everything has been working properly again since then.
