email to text message blocked

I am trying to send an email to my phone via text gateway.  It is failing with the message:

): host

    att-e2xms-east.mx.a.cloudfilter.net[35.172.238.88] said: 552 5.2.0

[my ip address] blocked AUP#BL (in reply to end of DATA command)

Are you blocking my address?  How do I find out and arrange for it to be unblocked?

Or is this some other bug?

Hi lyo. It's certainly important to receive text messages from your email.

Let's look into a resolution for you and whether our servers are blocking delivery of your messages to your phone.

First, it's likely that our servers are blocking your message if that message contains a blacklist URL that's triggering our filters. Otherwise, it's also possible that the way you're sending the message exceeds the size limits of the remote server or the file type isn't allowed by the remote server.

When composing a new email, make sure you're changing the format by entering the 10-digit wireless number followed by @mms.att.net. For example, you'll want to enter 5551234567@mms.att.net. There are more details at Send text-to-email or email-to-text messages.

Reach back out to us and let us know how it goes. This may be something we will need to investigate by taking a closer look into your account.

hi @ATTHelp .  The messages fail even when they contain no urls, and whether i use either txt or mms.att.net.  They are plaintext, SMTP messages under a hundred characters of content; the SMTP headers are longer, but not unusually so.  This had been working for me previously for years.

How can I get more help?

Hello lyo, we're here to help you with your email to text message inquiry.

We want to get you into a Direct Message to further review. Check your Direct Message Inbox

(it's the chat icon next to the bell icon in the upper right corner of the Forums).

Once you're there, we can continue this over the phone, or in chat if you'd prefer.
