@fourfour Your tablet will need to support cellular and you'll have to pay for an additional line for the tablet.

Good Thursday morning @fourfour!

I definitely understand wanting to be able to use your tablet without having to use your phone as hotspot. I would be happy to assist you with this.

The information provided by @Gary L is 100% correct, if you are on a postpaid plan, you would need to have a separate line for the tablet.

If you are interested in setting up a tablet plan, we do have a great support article which goes over the pans and other options. Please click here for more information on data plans for tablets and other devices.

If you are currently or a prepaid account, and would like to convert to a postpaid account, it is best to visit and AT&T store, with a valid government issued picture ID. I recommend for your convenience, you set up a store appointment so you can be in and out quickly.

This can be done by visiting our Store Locator, Once here; you will want to input your address into the search bar above. After finding a store which best fits your needs, please click in “Make an appointment to begin.

Thank you for reaching out to us. I wish you a wonderful rest of your day and Hapy National Watermelon Day!
