Does FaceTime Calls show on call history logs? Like does the number show on the call history logs or it does? Does it show up for certain phone services such as ATT,Boost Mobile,T Mobile,Verizon. And Also do text messages such as IMessages show up aswell like does the phone number show up?

FaceTime and iMessage go thru the Apple servers, not the providers so no, they don't appear on your call log.

You can see what your FaceTime and iMessages are however if you launch the apps but your provider can't.

@OttoPylot so it would only show up actual phone calls like the number would show on the call log history? But for FaceTime calls it won’t show a phone number like on any call log or any history for any phone service provider? And Also for Imessages does a phone number show up on any call log or any history for any phone service provider?

@OttoPylot also can you provide more information about what you said here “You can see what your FaceTime and iMessages are however if you launch the apps but your provider can't.”

The Apple messenger app shows messages sent both via iMessage and cell SMS/MMS, but the iMessages, as well as sender and receiver information, only show in the app.  Only SMS/MMS messages are logged by AT&T, because those are sent via AT&Ts cell network.  iMessages are sent as data via Apple’s servers and are transparent to AT&T.  Similar for FaceTime, which is also sent as data via Apple and is transparent to AT&T.

If you want to see iMessage or FaceTime history, you have to look in the app on your phone or iPad.  AT&T doesn’t have any info.

@thetractorscott  What @dwill05  said. To repeat, for iMessages, who you sent or received a message from is listed when you open the iMessage app. If you have your iPad or MacBook setup to send/receive calls via FaceTime (WiFi calling) they are listed there as well. Same for iMessages. However, none of the voice/message data that goes thru Apple's servers are available via any provider.

Hi @thetractorscott, we hear you, let's get you the information you need.

To answer your question, yes, you will be able to see FaceTime calls on call history. However, iMessages will not show up as they go through Apple servers like @OttoPylot rightly mentioned, history for iMessages show up via the preinstalled app you use to send and receive iMessages and normal message alike.

We hope you find this information helpful!
