Hello @rbarwis,

My name is Kayleigh, and I’d be happy to help you with your caller ID issue.  I certainly understand how a mismatched name can create confusion.  I can walk you through getting you caller ID name up to date.

The process for updating you caller ID varies depending on if you are using a wireline phone or a wireless cell phone.  For a wireline phone, please go to “Overview”, and then go to “My Digital phone” to get to where you manage your digital phone.  From here, you want to go to “My voicemail & phone features”, then “phone features”.  Caller ID will be a category in that menu, and you can update the name there. You can also click here For the directions as well.

For wireless cell phones, the process will be similar, but with a few key differences.  Please go to the profile section of your myAT&T account, and then select the account and phone number you’re updating, if you’re prompted to do so.  After that, all you need to do is find the “edit” button on that phone number’s page, update the name of the device to the name you want to appear on your caller ID, and the click “Continue” to save your changes.  These directions are also available here.

In both cases, your caller ID may take up to 24 hours to update.  Please let us know if the caller ID does not update, and we would be happy to help you further.  Thank you very much!

Hi: Using St talk over the AT&T network and when I call someone, my caller I'D is wrong. Called St talk and they stated AT&T would have to change it. Since, I don't have an AT&T account, I can't sign in to My AT&T on my cell phone to make the change.

That would be the responsibility of the supplier, not the carrier of a third part supplier. If you CID number is incorrect could be the data bases just haven't updated yet also.
