Hi there, ardelllamarche. We understand that you are asking if scbglobal.net has been discontinued and you would like a new email address. We can help you with that.

Yes, sbcglobal.net has been discontinued or retired. The domain is still supported, but new email addresses with sbcglobal.net cannot be created.  With that said, you can definitely sign up for a new AT&T Mail account!

In order to create a new email address, please follow these steps:

  1. Go to currently.com and select Sign In.
  2. Choose Create AT&T Account.
  3. Enter your wireless number and ZIP Code. We'll text you a confirmation code.
  4. Enter the code and select Continue.
  5. Complete the info to create your new AT&T email address and password.
  6. Enter your profile info and security questions and answers.
  7. Follow the prompts to verify your account.
  8. Print or copy your email address, password, and security questions info, in case you forget your password.
  9. Select Continue when you see the confirmation page.

Our two domains that can be created are att.net and currently.com.

If there is anything else that we can do for you, please reach out to us again.

Thank you for using the AT&T Community Forums.

I have an existing SBCglobal.net email address. It had still been working at I was using the Yahoo App on my phone. I got a new phone yesterday and tried to log back into my email account and can not access it. I've tried MANY different avenues and it just says "hmm, there is a problem try again later." I don't want to create a new account I am trying to access an existing SBCGLOBAL email account! thank you!

Good morning,

I have been a customer for ATT since SBC, is there any way I can get a proof of residence and/or proof of customer from SBC dates.
After speaking with ATT the oldest they can do was when the account was created (ATT) back in 2006. However, I was with SBC long before.

I'm not getting emails to my sbcglobal.net account. Does anybody else have this problem? Anybody know how I can fix this?
