Online Messages Lost

I lost a bunch of my emails from today. My daughter asked if I had gotten our amazon gift certificate. I checked online. The message was not there. I asked her what time it was sent. It was around 1:00 am. I went my downloaded inbox and found the message there. She asked me to click on the message to see the live presentation. Both my husband and I did that and enjoyed it. Then I went back to my local (downloaded inbox) and the message was gone. Evidently a sync was performed and it and others were removed. Help! I really depend on my online AT&T messages (from now to years past). Am pretty concerned and upset. How do I get them back. I've checked the trash boxes in both locations. Nothing there. Has AT&T Yahoo had a problem today? Please help!

I don't use ATT Yahoo on my smartphone. I do everything on my laptop. Am I able to backup my messages on my laptop?

Hi @behappy38

We understand your situation and want to assist you.

Get recently lost or deleted emails back using the Missing Mail Restore feature.

1) We can only restore emails from the past 7 days.
2) You can’t cancel a restore request.
3) Restoration efforts aren’t always successful.
4) Recovered emails go into the same folders they were in on the restore date you pick. Check your trash folder if you can’t find them after the restoration.
5) You should back up any important emails received or sent in the past 7 days.

I have filed a request for restoration. Hopefully it will bring back my missing emails. I need to clarify one thing though. I had to choose "Accidentally Deleted Emails" for the section of my question. However, I had nothing to do with it. ATT Yahoo deleted it/them. I do not know how many were deleted yesterday. The deleted one that I discovered however wa an email about an amazon gift card for us from our daughter. When she called to see if the message had arrived, I checked my Yahoo messages online. There was none, although Amazon said it had been sent approximately 1am. I then went to my messages downloaded to my computer by IMAP and it was there!! She said to click on the message to see the "action" gift card. I got my husband and we did just that and found it really neat. Then I had to leave the computer for something. I went back to my email program on my computer, and THE MESSAGE WAS GONE THERE TOO. I believe that on the next "synch" under the IMAP feature, it got deleted on my computer in order to match the online messages. Grrr. Bottom line, I no longer had the message to activate the gift card -- not online and now not on my laptop! Anyway, I have proof that the message was delivered, a copy was downloaded in my laptop email program when IMAP synced, and then later that very message was removed when ATT Yahoo did a later IMAP synchronization. I cannot imagiine how this could happen. I had not been at my computer all day to have created the action. I see other amazon "advertising-type" emails came through during that time. I think this needs to be INVESTIGATED BY ATT Yahoo, and I am hereby requesting that. Unfortunately, I see no way to talk to an ATT Tech. myself. I have researched a lot to find a way to do so. Perhaps, you can help me in this regard, especially based on the seriousness of this occurrence. Thanks for your help!
