Difficulty Configuring AT&T Email on Mobile Devices

Hello Forum Members,

I've been encountering some trouble while setting up my AT&T email on different mobile devices. Despite following the provided instructions, I seem to face repeated issues in getting my email to work seamlessly.

Problem Statement: I've attempted to configure my AT&T email account on both iOS and Android devices using the IMAP/SMTP settings provided by AT&T. However, I keep encountering authentication errors or constant prompts to re-enter my password, even after ensuring that the correct credentials are entered.

Details:

  1. I've carefully followed the step-by-step instructions provided by AT&T for setting up email accounts on mobile devices.
  2. I've tried both automatic setup (using email client settings) and manual configuration (entering server details manually) methods, but neither seems to resolve the issue.
  3. I've double-checked my username, password, and server settings numerous times to ensure they are correct.
  4. I've also tried disabling any security applications or firewalls that might interfere with the email setup process, yet the problem persists.

Can anyone provide guidance or tips on how to successfully set up an AT&T email account on mobile devices? Has anyone else encountered a similar issue and found a solution? I'd appreciate any assistance or advice you can offer to help resolve this frustrating situation.
