att / yahoo mail server not receiving mail on outlook

1.  Server settings are correct.

2.  Email has been purged and the server is not overloaded anymore.

3.  Can send emails via outlook.

4.  Can move emails from ATT / Yahoo server to a sub folder, open up outlook and the email I moved is there.

Issue.

Cannot receive new emails.  Can see the new emails on ATT / Yahoo server but it will not load into outlook.

Hey @bpdenni, we understand you’re having an issue with getting emails in outlook. Let’s walk you through the right path.

We suggest that you restart the computer or iPad. This will allow system updates to install.

Clear browser history, cookies and cache for smoother internet browsing.

We recommend that you do a password reset for your email by using the forgot password option.

Follow these steps:

  1. Go to att.com/myatt
  2. Select Forgot password?
  3. Fill out the password info.
  4. Choose security questions or temporary password and follow the prompts. If you choose a temporary password, we’ll let you know where we sent it.
  5. Create your new password.

You will need to create a secure mail key when setting up your email in Outlook. Along with that, you can also follow our step-by-step guide on setting up your email in Outlook.

Lastly, once you have completed the password reset for your email, Login to your email using Currently from AT&T/Yahoo.

You can update your security questions and answers. This keeps your information updated in case you forget your password.

You can set up text messages for password resets. Follow the steps to get a text with your temporary password next time.

Let us know if this helps!
