ameritech.net account

I have an old ameritech.net account email account associated with and old ATT account. I understand the ameritech account is basically a yahoo account and I want to break it away and delete my unused ATT account. How do I do that?

Thanks

We do understand how important it is to cancel your myAT&T account to ensure no one is able to use your account. We're here to help, @bfarrrar!

To delete, you can delete accounts from your Profile, but at this time you can't delete your User ID. To delete accounts:

  1. Sign in with your User ID and Password.
  2. Select View Profile from the Top Nav Profile.
  3. Select Manage Sub–Accounts from the Account users tab.
  4. Select Delete next to the account that you want to delete.

We hope this information helps.

Thank you for contacting AT&T Community Forum!

I have Profile across the top along with accounts, payments, bills and settings. I don't have an option to view profile or to manage accounts. It does show a linked email account (my Ameritech email, and an old Direct TV account as linked accounts but no method to remove them.
