Yahoo mail being redirected to ATT and then not logging in
All of a sudden, my Yahoo Mail is being redirected to an ATT login page.
When I enter my user name and password, it doesn't recognize it. It does
not even recognize the back-up e-mail address I used in Yahoo. That
account links to my seller platforms, and I have things I need to ship from
that account! I don't know what to do.

PLEASE READ THIS. As a former AT&T employee I am embarrassed that a simple solution to the Yahoo/AT&T email sign-in redirect is not shown anywhere here. It has been a problem for me and obviously many others. I have finally found a solution no thanks to AT&T.
If you want to sign in to a Yahoo Mail account and are constantly redirected to the AT&T email sign in here is where you should go to sign in instead. https://login.yahoo.com/manage_account?.done=https://currently.att.yahoo.com
On that page you will have the option to sign into AT&T email OR to add any other Yahoo managed account and sign in.
For those of you that have struggled with this I apologize on behalf of AT&T. I hope this solution serves you well.

Go to
https://login.yahoo.com/manage_account?.done=https://currently.att.yahoo.com
From there you can add any Yahoo managed account (including AT&T email) and log in from there.

Yes, this apparently logs you out of your AT&T account on the Yahoo Mail system and removes your cookie that says you're logged in. Using the LOGOUT button would likely do the same thing.

The solution that has worked for me 100% of the past four years is to use Chrome for Yahoo Mail and use Edge for ATT.net Mail. Yes, it's inconvenient to use two browsers, but it always works. First open the Edge browser and log into your att.net or other non-yahoo mail account. Save that password when Edge asks you. Now go to the Chrome browser, and press Ctrl+H on your keyboard. This opens the history page where you can delete all browsing history (be sure passwords is NOT checked so you don't lose all your saved passwords). Then wait... It takes several minutes to erase cookies. Don't click your saved favorite when finished, go to a new page and type yahoo mail login, and open yahoo mail page to sign in. Save a new sign in favorite. From then on, only use Chrome for Yahoo, Edge for ATT. 100% fix.

I had yahoo mail and my email was prodigy.net and now when I clicked on the yahoo mail icon and type in my email with prodigy.net it goes directly to att.net and I can't get my emails.

I have an email @sbcglobal.net; when I tried the fix of going to the following link to login:
https://login.yahoo.com/manage_account?.done=https://currently.att.yahoo.com
I land on the Yahoo home page but when I try to log in I am redirected to:
https://signin.att.com/dynamic/iamLRR/LrrController?IAM_OP=login&appName=m40842&loginSuccessURL=https%3A%2F%2Foidc.idp.clogin.att.com%2Fmga%2Fsps%2Foauth%2Foauth20%2Fauthorize%3Fnonce%3DsAHnvSGol1%26redirect_uri%3Dhttps%253A%252F%252Fatt-yahoo.att.net%252Fisam%252Fsps%252Foidc%252Frp%252FATT-HBO-RP%252Fredirect%252FYahoo%26response_type%3Did_token%26response_mode%3Dform_post%26state%3D0yVbFct7rE%26scope%3Dopenid%26client_id%3Dm40842
at this point I am unsuccessful in logging in to my email account as I ultimately end up on ATT's page with this message:
Hmm… we can’t reset your password
We don’t have the account details we need to reset your password right now. To get help, call 800.288.2020.
...and on and on.....

...and I know that sbcglobal.net is part of att.net and not a Yahoo platform email address.

I use Chrome window in incognito mode to visit https://login.yahoo.com/manage_account?.done=https://currently.att.yahoo.com and entered by full yahoo email id as the username and clicked next. I was taken to https://identity.att.com/identity-ui/fpwd/lander?origination_point=tguard&trid=*** and the page prompts me to reset my user ID and last name. The yahoo email was created directly on yahoo.com 15+ years ago and later linked to my previous ATT Account (while I was in Chicago in 2002) that I no longer have access to for enabling the Plus Services.
I was able to login to yahoo mail using my yahoo password throgh June 25th 2023. I recently changed my smartphone and now its redirecting me to att.com. Thankfully I was able to call ATT using my new att account for my Home Fiber Internet in Atlanta. The customer service spent over an hour trying to locate my old account using all my previous phone numbers and home addresses. They mentioned that it is likely that att.com had scrubbed all old information and thus have no record of my old account.
They suggested that I contact yahoo. Unfortunately I was unable to reach a human at yahoo to ask them to unlink my yahoo email address from ATT, as ATT no longer have my old account on their system, so that I am able to resume access using yahoo password that worked till June 2023.
Any idea how I can reach yahoo unlink my yahoo email from ATT.com to restore my access? This email address has 15+ years of my correspondence which I have no backups off. I tried reach yahoo at 800-305-7664 without much luck.

This has been very frustrating! I have no problems with my sbcglobal.net email through ATT, but I can not open my yahoo.com email anywhere but my phone (because it is saved there and I have not logged out in over a year). I am about to delete both and start fresh with Google if someone doesn't have an answer.
Now, this forum isn't even accepting my login. I'm done.

@paulagaertner , this forum clearly accepted your login, because you posted.
Yahoo apparently remembers that you've ever logged in with AT&T in a cookie, and if it sees that cookie, it assumes that you want to log in with AT&T again, even if that is not your intent. Using a different browser, or using the same browser in incognito or inprivate mode can let you work around the cookies. You can also clear all cookies, or just yahoo cookies.
