SBCGLOBAL.NET Email - Can Someone from ATT please help us?

So many of us cannot access our SBCGLOBAL.NET email. In my case I am directed to the login on the Currently page. When I enter my information, it tells me that it sent an 8 digit code to my email and to enter it below... the problem is, it sent it to the SBCGLOBAL.NET email that I am trying to get into! I have spent hours on the phone with AT&T and they have not been able to understand the situation and they all want me to reset my AT&T password. (They have never heard of an 8 digit confirmation code. They only use 6) I have no problem accessing my AT&T account and can reset the password all day, but it is only the Email that I cannot access. It was at one time a handled by Yahoo for ATT, I believe. Not sure what is happening now. Some customers can access it, and some cannot. Can someone please help us get into our email which we have been using for over 20 years?

ATT did something on their end to resolve this issue ---> my SBCGLOBAL.NET email I've had over 12 years can now be accessed / logged into on my pc. In the past few days the link to log in to view my email via my laptop would not allow me to log in. Even though I was able to log in every day for years using the same link, suddenly that link was not working properly. When I attempted to log in with my email address and password, ATT website would state redirecting, then logging out and next a message stating check your wifi because it might not be connected (even though all other websites could be reached) and try checking my connections or to click try again if that was not the problem. When you click try again it went back to the login page which repeated everything again the exact same way never letting me log in.

If you're having problems with getting your email to work, you may want to some troubleshooting steps to see if that fixes the issue. Here are a few things you can do:

  • If you're not already, try signing in using Currently directly instead of using an app. This will help determine whether the issue is with your account directly or not.
  • Clear Cache and Cookies - A very common fix.

  • Update Your Browser - many features are only compatible with the latest browser and we recommend updating it.

  • Test signing in to your webmail using another browser.

  • Disable browser tools or add-ons - varies by device and browser.

If you're still having email issues after that, please let us know and we'll be more than happy to see what other options we can provide.

That was no help. I tried all those suggestions, no luck. I am on a PC trying to log into my bellsouth.net email account using Chrome and it won't let me in.
