Email about att& t email accounts closing

I got an e-mail that said this "

Final Warning! Your email address deactivation will take place on the 8/16/2023, AT&T Yahoo Mail customers that are yet to update their email account will no longer be able to sign into their account through email addresses due to recent new mid-year upgrades.

marvin lyon <[email scrubbed]"

I am trying to find out if this for real or someone trying to trick me into giving them my email address and pass word. What is this best way verify this?

Scam delete it don’t click any links it’s a ruse to collect your personal information

Yeah best thing to do is to go ahead and let your email account deactivate and see if it really does, which it won't.

But if it does you can actually go to the legit website

and not some scam setup website

that wants your personal user and password data.

Always be VERY skeptical of any emails.
