Bellsouth.net Email - Sign-in Help, Questions, and Answers

Troubleshooting Bellsouth & SBCGlobal Email Addresses

Announcement

AT&T is making your email experience more secure. A part of this change is a prompt requesting you re-enter your password which may affect your ability to sign-in to your email, especially if you cannot remember your password. You will find steps that will help you address your sign in woes. If you have a mail client, you may need to update your settings with our step-by-step guide. in order to access your email given the change.

Can’t sign in or Forgotten Password:

If you have a current AT&T internet account that is tied to your email, you can change or reset your password by performing the following:

  1. sign in to your AT&T account.
  2. Select Profile > myAT&T sign in Password.
  3. Enter and save your password information.

If you have a free email account, you can reset the password at our email reset page.

  1. Go to Forgot Password page.
  2. Enter your User Name/ email address.
  3. Enter your Last Name.
  4. Follow the prompts.

If you are unable to change your password using the steps above, please chat with us. Please note, if you are unable to verify the account, we will be unable to reset your password. Think about it this way, if someone contacted us pretending to be you and did not know the security questions, would you want them to have access?

Heads Up: If the last name on the record does not match, the password reset option may not work. If you have an old billing statement, please verify what name you used.

And the fun continues!  Dad has an sbcglobal.net email address and an iPhone 7 that just refuses to let his emails come through. I called ATT and sat on hold for 40 minutes and gave up. He is freaking out. Help!

My bellsouth address has been working when I can access it, but I keep getting error messages when I click the links on att.net that say "Cneck email", or "log in". Where is the right link?

I can't access my bellsouth email acct. I am told that the password is wrong and I have used the same password for the past 10 years. When I try to reset my password, it send the reset to the email address that I can't access. What to do?

I cannot reset my bellsouth.net password, as it is not even accepting the security answers I wrote down. How can I get a temporary password to reset my account? Is there a number or customer service agent I should call?
