attglobal.net email account

I have an attglobal.net email, but I can no longer access my emails. Is something wrong with the system?

Glad to help you access your emails, kimhunter.

Use our Login and Email Solutions article to troubleshoot your mailbox.

For webmail:

  • Clear your browser's cache and cookies - This is the most common fix. Sites change over time, and when that happens, the files saved in your cache and cookies may conflict with what is actually coded on the site. Clearing it out ensures that your browser is using the settings designed for the website. Also, if your cache is set to occupy a lot of your computer space, the computer may get bogged down due to all hard drive space being occupied.
  • Update your browser - Many features are only compatible with the latest browser, so we recommend updating it.
  • Test signing in to your webmail using another browser - A different browser may perform better than the one you're currently using.
  • Disable browser tools or add-ons - Tools and add-ons can sometimes cause browsers to run slowly and crash. You can turn off specific add-ons to help increase your browsing speed.
  • Disable your firewall - Running more than one firewall at a time may cause slow Internet connection speeds. Most AT&T provided gateways are equipped with built-in firewalls, so you might not need your operating system firewall.

For 3rd Party clients/apps:

  • Test using webmail - If you're able to sign in to your email via the web, the issue points to the app or mailbox you're using.
  • Mailboxes - We recommend using the latest version. Updates and changes may prevent it from working properly.
  • Rebuild your mailbox profile - In some instances, rebuilding the profile fixes some issues, but you may lose email doing this.
  • Change your settings from POP to IMAP.
  • Client issues - If you're using POP, you must now use IMAP. There was a recent change, which this article explains further.
  • Multiple email, one client - Please note, each email requires either a secure key or OAuth to be set up. Check out Microsoft's support page on how to set up multiple emails.
  • Reset your secure key - This has helped resolve issues in the past, especially when signing in to another client or troubleshooting your current one.

Please keep in mind that AT&T does not officially support or troubleshoot mailboxes/clients such as Outlook.

If you're still unable to recover your mail, let us know what happens when you sign in and open your inbox, so we can determine what your next steps should be.

Unfortunately, none of that worked. I have tried logging in on websitemail.att.com and that does not work. I keep getting the message that the password or login in incorrect. when I select "Forgot password" I get prompted for the security question and that then keeps telling me that the answer is wrong which, I know is not wrong. How can I reset my attglobal.net email as I am unable to get any emails. Thank you
