Alias email account

I have had an alias email account for several years under my primary email address.  The alias is my business email address.  I can receive emails when someone uses this address, but I cannot send them under the alias address.  I don't know how to fix this.

Hi there, @eileenflora! We understand how important it is to be able to send emails from your business email and want to help.

 

We recommend that you start with clearing your cache and cookies. Clearing it out ensures that your browser is using the settings designed for the website.

 

Once you've done that, try using Currently to access your email account. Since it's supported by AT&T, this can minimize any outside influences that may be giving you trouble with your email. 

 

We also suggest resetting your password to help re-sync your email account. This can be done by following these steps:

  1. Go to att.com/myatt.
  2. Select Forgot password?
  3. Fill out the password info.
  4. Choose security questions or temporary password and follow the prompts. If you choose a temporary password, we’ll let you know where we sent it.
  5. Create your new password.

We have a couple of quick questions that will help us narrow down the potential causes of your email issue:

  • Are you getting any sort of error message when you attempt to send an email? This will help us identify the proper next steps to take.
  • What platform are you using to access your email account (Currently, Outlook, Thundrbird, etc.)? This will help us determine the source of the error that's preventing you from sending emails.
