sbcglobal.net address is no longer receiving mail
My yahoo.com email address is still properly receiving email, but my sbcglobal.net address does not seem to be associated with the yahoo account anymore. I had been receiving emails at the sbc address up until 12/29/17, but have not received on at that address since. I've also tried logging into the sbc account from the start.att.net account, but it just bounces me to my yahoo account.
I've tried sending email to both the yahoo and sbcglobal email addresses from a third address. The yahoo addressed emails are coming through, but the sbcglobal addressed emails are not.

Hello @rjh144,
My name is Kayleigh, and I’m here to help you with your email issues. I know how vital your email address is in your day to day life, and what kind of problems can be cause by losing access to anything. Here is some information on what’s going on.
The reason that this is happening is because we are in the process of separating quite a few of our internal systems from Yahoo. We can confirm that your emails are safe, and currently stored by Yahoo. I strongly recommend clicking here for more information about what our split means for you, and how to recover your lost emails. Thank you very much.

Recheck the app's sever settings. It's obvious there;'s a problem on the app side since, as you stated, all the other clients and webmail are working ok.
One thing you should consider however is to change the password setting in all the clients to a secure mail key. Read this (which includes a link to how to create a secure mail key).

After you log in, you can toggle between the two accounts.
There is a home icon and then your name. When you hover over your name, you'll see both emails. The sbcglobal account is empty before 12/29 and the Yahoo account will have all your old emails.
This isn't obvious, nor is it in any of the support pages that I've looked at.

Kayleigh,
You seem to be about the only AT&T person I've seen on all these threads that has any idea what's going on here.
The document you linked to for an explanation was very good and should have been prominently pushed out with the warnings about the unmerge. Most info simply said there would be no problem, which is a big fat lie, as we are now seeing.
Here is what I see as the MAJOR thorn in the side for all us dealing with it.
AT&T pushed all old email to the Yahoo account and new email to the new att account. This may be fine for folks that use (and give out to others) their yahoo account name, but it is disasterous to those that just use their att account instead. There SHOULD HAVE BEEN an option for the user as to which way they wanted it to go, OR, you could have just duplicated the entire old structure & emails into the new att account. The user could easily then choose which they wanted to use, maybe both, and then bulk delete from the account(s) as needed for their own situation.

Thanks for this note. I happened upon this information while on hold with ATT tech support. Interestingly, the tech support team told me I had to call Yahoo for support. It would have been smart of ATT to push this information out to its potentially impacted customers and to share this with the tech support team.
Thank you very much for posting

I completely agree. I don't know why this information isn't published anywhere and why we weren't notified.
This entire switch has been handled very poorly.

Thank you for getting back to me @rjh144,
I agree that this could have been handled better, and we had been working with Yahoo to make sure that this transition would be more seamless than it ended up being. I still recommend Yahoo if nothing in the post I provided you works, since AT&T email accounts are still hosted on their servers. In the meantime, I would like to thank you, as well as @DenaC17, @joetomberlin, and everyone else for being so patient with us.

We can't login to our sbclgobal.net emails that we have since 2003.
Please advise. We are losing business because of this and we need it solved as soon as possible.

On October 10th of 2018 my Gmail app stopped being able to receive or send through my SBCglobal.net email. I downloaded the Yahoo email app and it works fine. I can also get my emails with Outlook on my desktop, or by going to the AT&T web site. What caused this?
