Mail-Demon emails

Over the past couple of days I have been getting 60-100+ mailer-demon emails in my inbox at one time.
Does this mean I that my email has been hacked?

if so, what do I do?

What do I do to keep it from happening?

It could mean your email is hacked. It could also mean you have a virus or could mean your email address is being used by spammers even if your email account is not being used. Check to see if your sent folder has emails you didn’t send and changing your password is definitely a good idea.
