AT&T's policy is that if you terminate service and your account is in good standing (i.e. zero balance, no unreturned equipment, etc.) then your associated e-mail address(es) will be treated as free AT&T E-mail account.
You should realize, however, that your support options with this e-mail account will be extremely limited, even compared to the e-mail support you have now.
