Internet Air and VPN
Has anyone found a solution to the incompatability of Internet Air with VPNs. The speed using a VPN is almost nonexistant and my conversation with AT&T resulted in: It's a issue and our engineers are working on it. I don't have fiber in my area so that isn't an option.

Thank you Emma,
As you can see from my post, I did contact AT&T and they said it is a known issue and engineers are working on it. Just trying to figure out if someone has found a work around in the meantime. A VPN connection is required for work and the speeds are currently impossibly slow.

Any updates on this? I just got my service last week and this combined with Hulu live asking me to change my home location constantly are going to cause me to cancel service already.

Just found this post.
Been fighting with this for 2 days. I just got my AT&T Internet Air. I love how much faster it is than my old AT&T service. But now I cannot access my companies VPN. I work soley from home so connecting to the VPN is manditory.
AT&T has fiber all around my neighborhood, but we are on an island of slow internet. They say they will bring it to my neighborhood, but may be 7 to 10 years from now. Total mess in todays day and age.
Looks like I'll be switching back to my old slow AT&T internet (that costs more) if I can't get this Internet Air to connect to the VPN

Seems people targeted for AIA may not be able to keep DSL in the long run. You’ll have to judge whether it’s an acceptable alternative.

That’s why I sent mine back and stuck with Spectrum. Funny though, my T-Mobile home internet works fine with my companies VPN setup. I guess AT&T. Just wants casual users on air.

There's internet options in my area, just not in my neighborhood. Stinks.
My neighbor across the street recently moved in. He brought over his T-Mobile home internet. He says it works well and he's able to access his governmental VPN.
So I checked with T-Mobile. Says it's not available in my area. I told them about my neighbor. They told me in my area they couldn't guarantee their min speed, so they won't sell me an account.

They only sell so many accounts per location or tower. I had it offered to me and waited, then a year later I went to sign up and had to get on the wait list. Speeds are great but I only use it for my seasonal camp.
