Fast internet down/up speed but terrible video chatting quality

I use Google Meet/Hangouts quite regularly and the quality that other people see is terrible.  My speed according to tests is 100/100 down/up so this should not be happening.

I recently took a Google Meet from someone elses house who has an internet connection of 25/10 and it was so much better!

What could be going on with this?  Is there some setting?  I live in a "connected community" so not sure if that has anything to do with the level of service provided or if throttling is happening.

Hello @jdn32324, that’s certainly strange, let’s see what we can figure out.

When using Google Meet/Hangouts at your house, do you have multiple people on your network?

Also, can you clarify what a connected community is?

There is one other person and all they use is Instagram.  Connected Community is basically when the apartment complex has an agreement with AT&T to provide Internet.  The base level of Internet is included in rent and if I want to pay more for higher speeds (which I do) then I pay the difference directly to AT&T.

Hello @jdn32324, thanks for your response.

From what it sounds like this may have to do with the connected community, especially if everyone is on the same bandwidth for multiple lines.

I would ask you attempt a small test using Skype or other video chatting programs to see if you’re experiencing the same issue.

Please let us know if you are once you do.
