Buried cable flags

I cannot remember the exact time that the flags were put in our yard but it's been probably a month or more. All our neighbors and our yard has flags in them but the issue I have is that they've been here for so long. I think that they probably did what they needed to do and just left them. It has become a pain because we need to do things like mow and after being here so long they eventually start getting ripped out of the yard somehow then littered which is probably the worst part. How can I find out if these flags are needed anymore and if not, is it possible to get someone to come out here and remove them from our neighborhood?

There's certainly would not be buried wires related to wireless service. Let's move this to internet

And please call AT&T directly. This is a customer populated forum. The only response you're going to get from AT&T is to contact them directly

Hey @carolynamiller22, we understand you have issues with buried cable flags, we hear you and let’s walk you through the right path.

If your cable was not buried, you can report the issue by selecting 'Chat' or calling at 800.288.2020. To check an issue that has already been reported, you can call the Buried Wire Center at 877.938.0235 from Monday to Friday between 8:00 a.m. and 6 p.m. ET. Please note that this number is specifically for unburied ground cables.

Temporary cables might be run during installations and repairs, and they will be buried as soon as possible. The timing of this depends on coordination with contractors and other utilities, permits from local authorities, weather conditions, and access to private property.

If you see painted lines or flags in your yard before installation, it means that local utility companies have identified gas, electric, and water lines on your property. These are marked to help the crew know where to bury the new cable.

Let us know if this helps.
Thank you for reaching out on AT&T Community & Forums.

I'd call the "call before you dig" number to see if they have any information as to which utility called for the locate. In many areas a locate is only good for a set amount of time, here it's a month, after that the utility that requested the location has to call for another.

A located service such as USIC place flags... colors represent the service that is currently buried.

A white flag marks proposed route of new wiring.

If a temporary line was placed on the ground and latter buried normally have a disturbance of the ground where buried which in most areas is performed by  local contractor.
