Excruciatingly Slow 5g Speeds

I am getting excruciatingly slow 5g speeds. Not at all faster than my old 4g phone. In fact, I ran a speed test (on both phones) and my 5g phone is slower. I currently use the Samsung S20 Ultra.

We'd like to help you improve your 5G speed, @Radueriel

We understand how important data speed is and want to turn this around for you as soon as possible.

  • When using http://sm.att.com/d531f2c9 what is your down/upload speeds testing at on your Samsung Galaxy S20 Ultra?
  • What time of the day are you experiencing slow speeds? If a lot of devices are using mobile data at once it can strain our network and we may have to slow your data speed to keep everyone connected. This is called network congestion.
  • Are you on an Unlimited Data plan? We may slow your speed after using 50GB or 22GB of data in a single billing period.
  • Have you made a report using the AT&T Mark the Spot app? We utilize your in-app feedback to better target network congestion and helps us optimize your experience.

Please use the Mark the Spot app and test your speeds throughout the day. Let us know the results. Thank you!

I am thoroughly disappointed in my 5g speed, I have been a long time customer and ever since I joined 5g unlimited I am very disappointed.

I was sitting in the car with the family last weekend, had an S22 and a Note 10 from ATT, and also an IPhone (not sure which model that was) from TMobile.  We ran speed tests on all phones.  IPhone from Tmob tested DL speeds close to 300Mbps, the S22 (5G phone) from ATT was under 5Mbps and the Note 10 (5G Evolution) was at 10Mbps!  Sounds like ATTs 5G is false advertisement.
