No guest access AT&T Netgear 7550 B90

During a service call, AT&T replaced my modem/router with the Netgear 7550 B90. I no longer have a guest access for the internet showing in

WiFi. Netgear said they couldn't help as this gateway is for AT&T only.  We need "guest access for internet only" for when our tech savy relatives and grandkids visit so they are not in "our space". What simple option or solution is there to have an internet only guest access?

Hello @Siam09,

We understand that you're trying to setup a guest network. Don't worry we can point you in the right direction.

Take a look at this thread here that has information that can help with this. Also on this page here is the link to the user manual for the router you have. If the router is capable of having a guest network setup follow the manual to set one up.

When I go into my AT&T DSL WiFi Setup, there is only one SSID listed and no guest access SSID option. The manual link included for the Netgear 7550 B90 is for Frontier. The Frontier manual does state the Netgear 7550 has a guest access but the directions there do not appear on the WiFi setup for AT&T.

Does AT&T offer another gateway with a guest access SSID?

I've read about the WAP's but am not sure of how complicated to set up and use for guest access; and if compatible with AT&T's 7550 as well as there is again more costs for equipment. Disappointed with the 7550 as it is not meeting our needs of having the guest access SSID.

Any other suggestions?
