My ZTE K88 will not power on or seem to even charge?

Oh no! This is definitely something which can be concerning. I personally have a tablet as well, and use it for everything! Let’s go over some options you can try now.

If the device is unresponsive to the point it cannot turn on or charge, I recommend trying a hard restart first. To perform this, please press and hold the Volume-down and Power buttons simultaneously for 10 seconds, until the device restarts.

If you are still not able to reboot the tablet, I would suggest a factory reset of the device using external buttons. To perform this, please:

1. With your device powered off, press and hold down the Power/Lock button and Volume-up key until you see 'Android recovery' at the top of the screen.
    
2. When the Android Recovery screen appears, press the Volume-down button to scroll down until 'Wipe data/factory reset' is highlighted, then tap the Power/Lock key to choose.
    
3. Press the Volume-down button to scroll down until 'Yes' is highlighted, then press the Power/Lock button to select.
    
4. When the Android Recovery screen displays again, ensure that 'Reboot system now' is highlighted, then press the Power/Lock button.

Also, if you have warranty or insurance coverage, this is always an option for device replacement. Have a wonderful rest of your week!

This worked for me, but I did not HAVE to hard reset.  I was given several choices.  One of them was to simply restart the device.  I chose that one and all is well.  Thanks for the help!

so i held down the power and volume buttons, for 10 seconds and screen is still blank what do i do?

If you own a ZTE K88 tablet and it still won't power on even after following the same troubleshooting steps recommended above make sure to plug it into its charger and try powering the device on again. The battery may need recharging.

I tried this and it didn't work so i don't know if it has something to do with the battery of something else because i tried this and i charged it for a whole 24 hours and it still was black so what do i do???
