Damaged box in front yard

Hi. I have an att tower type box in my front yard. The base is completely rusted out and it leans over. We are constantly straightening it back up. We are not even sure if it is an active box.

So my question is who do I contact to have it repaired (or removed if it is not active)?

Let's make sure that damaged box is taken care of, @Aliollio

We're going to need to chat in private to continue. Please meet us in a direct message via the direct message inbox in the top right corner of the page.

If you have similar problems with damaged/exposed AT&T equipment in the future, you can call 800.288.2020, or contact our buried wire center at 800.924.9420 Monday through Friday between 8:00 a.m. and 6 p.m. ET. Remember: This number is just for unburied ground cables.

Keep an eye out for our DM! We're going to get someone out there to take a look at that box!

In front of my home there is a damaged green At&T box, this box provides service to the community and it is broken.
I have small children and they play in front of my yard luckily they have been under supervision, I am worried that by some carelessness this may cause some danger or harm to my child.
I have no service or account with AT&T I just need this box in front of my home repaired.

I have called several numbers and no one knows how to give correct information.
877-7372478
800-2882020
855-3654979

can give reliable information where I can request the replacement of this box.

@Jralvarezm   If you look at the message directly above yours you'll see the number for the Buried Wire Center.  That's the number to call.

The 2020 number is the main support number who will need to connect you to "correct" dept.  I see a lonnnng phone call with you being passed around from dept to dept and then eventually being disconnected in your future.  😟

Can you take a picture of the damaged box and post it here?

For any broken green boxes in your yard that need repair, just call 800-2882020 and take the REPAIR option and after 30 minutes they will create a ticket for repair, I will let you know by the end of the week if it actually works.

I finally got through and they gave me a case number, I am still waiting for the case number to be effective.

Thank @tonydi, thanks for your message, I tried again.

Thanks for the picture.  I've seen worse and AT&T did nothing.  Lots of reports from forum members getting case numbers and then that was the end of it.

I hope your situation is different.  🙏

Let us know what happens!

Same issue. This has been going on for over a month. No one wants to take responsibility. Manager by the name of Chris in the global call center, buried wire group, care dept either hung up on me or the phone call somehow "accidentally" got disconnected. Customer service representative by the name of Lee lied to me saying they were making notes in their system, which Manager says they cannot do. All anyone wants to do is transfer you around and not resolve the issue. We have kids in our neighborhood, this box has been open like this for over a month, was installed by bluestream as an att subcontractor as part of the fiber optic upgrade. ATT we expect better!
