Airties 4921 ethernet backhaul

How do I set up an 4921 for ethernet backhaul? The quick reference mentions how the ethernet cable can be used for optional alternative set up, but I don't see where it actually shows how to do it.

The Airties 4920 manual shows how to do it for that device. But it doesn't work for the 4921 and I can't find a 4921 manual.

I have Fiber 1000 running over a BGW 320 gateway and cat5e gigabit copper local ethernet home network.

TIA.

After some experimentation, it looks like I got it to work.

1. Connect 4921 to network using the provided Cat5 cable

2. Power up the 4921

3. 4921 automatically detects the BGW 320

4. 4921 automatically starts accepting wireless connections using the same Wifi info as set up on the BGW 320

In reality, there was a bit more needless futzing (resetting/reconnecting the 4921 several times) that I probably didn't need to do as I fumbled around. The Airties and AT&T materials were pretty useless.

What did help was using the Smart Home Manager app (android) to see the 4921's IP address so I could bring up its home page on my browser and see that it was OK (i bought mine used on "an auction site")

The 4921 home page was pretty basic with little functionality other than to update password and firmware. Certainly did not closely resemble the 4920 site shown in that manual.

Smart Home Manager also showed the gateway and 4921 as active in "Home Network Hardware", which I could then expand to see which devices had connected to the gateway and which to the access point.

For the 4921, SH shows the wireless connection icon on the list of hardware, but "wired" as the connection type when I click thru. I did not follow the wireless pairing process, so I am going to guess the connection is actual the wired connection (but i have not confirmed that).

For testing purposes, the gateway and extender are about 2 feet apart. The gateway has all of the wired connections. Wireless connections seem roughly evenly split across the gateway and access point

@ATTHelp You are welcome. Although I do have to say that -- with the exception of the Smart Home Manager app -- AT&Ts website, documentation, help and other tools were pretty much useless.

While I am glad it is such a simple answer, it shouldn't have been nearly so hard to get info on what is such an easy, useful feature.
