Enter the Yahoo Password for Your Email – Things to know from AT&T

You are probably wondering if reentering your email password is a legitimate request from AT&T. Don’t worry, it is 😊

AT&T is improving your email experience by adding a Secure Mail Key. There are steps we are taking to make this happens and reentering your password is just the first step. So, sit back, relax and reenter your password.

Don’t Remember Your Password?

  1. Go to myAT&T.
  2. Select Forgot Password?
  3. Complete the password info.
  4. Choose security questions or temporary password and follow the prompts.
If you choose temporary password, we’ll let you know where we sent it.
  5. Create your new password.

Do you use an email client like Outlook or MacMail?

If you use a client, not to worry our Setup Your Email Client page will guide you through the steps and help you update some settings.

Heads Up: You do not need to make changes if you have a compatible mail client shown below.

Compatible Applications

  • Outlook 2010, 2013, 2016
  • Mozilla Thunderbird
  • Windows Mail on personal computers running Windows 8 or older
  • Apple Mail/Mac Mail on macOS 10.10/Yosemite or older

Years ago I added a second email account using the Mailbox Listing in the settings function.  For some unknown reason the second email account is not able to synchronize and the emails for the second account are not being transferred.  I have tried changing the password on the second account with an success.  I am using Microsoft Edge and Yahoo Mail.  I tried using Chrome web browser with the same results.  Any suggestions on how to get the second account to synchronize?

We're here to help, @ljrobic!

We recommend checking out our E-mail Troubleshooting Article. You may want to try clearing your cache and cookies, and logging back in- or resetting up your secondary account on your primary.

Keep us updated on if this helps- we'll be here if you need any further assistance!

I am suddenly not receiving emails. I've been receiving 1 or 2, sometimes 0 emails. I should have received a receipt for a purchase today, but still have not. This started happening just after our home page was changed to "Currently from AT&T. What do I need to do to get my emails?

I need a tech to come to my house and correct all of the new AT&T changes on my PC, ipad, and (2) iphones.

Any help or contact info will be greatly appreciated. This is the 6th week with this problem.

So just to confirm, if I'm using the Outlook 2019 client (part of the standalone Microsoft Office Home & Business 2019) (not Office 365 by the way, just to be clear) I should be good-to-go without having to mess with any of this "Secure Mail Key" mish-mash? My garden-variety password in Outlook has worked just fine for decades now and I'm not keen to add any more complexity to it than absolutely necessary.
