Cannot send emails from iphone X does not allow relaying error message

"A copy has been placed in your outbox......Does not allow Relaying"

 

Cannot send email on Iphone X.  Error message says my email is the recipient despite sending to other email addresses?

account is an Sbcglobal.net account

 

have tried server settings:

smtp.mail.att.net

port: 465

Authentication password

SSL/TLS yes

 

also have tried

smtp.mail.att.net

MD5 challenge for Auth.

Port 2525

 

nothing is working

Don't quite understand that.  Are you saying you can send to other recipients?

 

Server settings are documented here.  That challenge/2525 is definitely not supported.

 

Since you have a legacy account my usualy recommendation  is (a) change your account password (Forgot ID/Password), and (b) use a secure mail key in place of your password in the email clients.  Read this (which includes a link to how to create a secure mail key).
