The AT&T Internet Security Suite powered by McAfee is a free perk as long as you subscribe to an AT&T Internet or DSL package with a connection speed of at least 3Mbps. If your connection speed is lower, then the Internet Security Suite is $5/mo for use on up to 3 devices. You can learn more under Cost and requirements in the link provided.

When did you get this copy of McAfee? Did you get it from a link at att.com or elsewhere?
Also, there are a bunch of scam emails going out saying that people's McAfee subscription is expiring. It's a phishing scam designed to steal your personal info.
If you want to post the email we can tell you if it's legit or not.
