rc1 account, the worse thing that ATT and Directv has done.

I have an RC1 account (DirecTV with internet). I had called (8665951331) the loyalty office since March 7 to cancel my account and looks like every agent that I get on the phone is not capable to close my account. Very clear, every agent that I speak to " they refer me to the loyalty office" which they are not capable to deal with RC1 accounts. Only RC1 agents can, which they are "the secrets agents of ATT", nobody can get hold of them, not even the loyalty office.  It is ridiculous, How all this mess started. I was very thoughtful opening an account with ATT as for preview experience, I had a terrible experience but becuase of my wife, i decided to open an account. Well, this service only last 5 days, switch back to spectrum. I founded out the agent that opened my account had screwed up my personal information completed, I called a couple of time to fix this but then I had some Asian people and another kind of people that was very hard and frustrated to understand what they were saying, then I founded out that what I paid is not really what ATT offers.  I was paying 50mb but I was getting 35mb. Costumer services stated that was "in the range which it was okay". wait! but i starting to pay for 50mb not 35!, they said, it is on range! which is a good speed. Useless people. So since then, i had decide to close this account, after almost a month, still trying to closed the account. I am wonder if Directv is going to send me a bill for a two years contract. Because accordently to the system i had closed the account after the 15 days trial.  It does end there, I have a bill for 5 days, and I am getting a bill for a whole month of service. Wait I only use five days, but it does matter ATT still will charge the entire month because nobody can closed my account. I was a loyal customer for 16 years with my wireless service but it got very expenses, now this!. I do remember how was ATT before cingular and it has not change.! Now I have to figure out on my own how to cancel this account because nobody is capable to do their job correctly in ATT.

I spent the last week with the infinite loop called RC1 account.  I spoke with 62 specialists for over 15 hours trying to get my service fixed after a move.  I ended up swallowing $70 and cancelling early because I could not get my TV service fixed.  Nobody could change my physical address to my new address. Therefore everytime they scheduled a tech visit the tech would show up 1500 miles away at my old front door.  This was after we verified the address on no more than 10 occasions.  I even went so far as to try and bride I tech I saw at a convenience store to come and fix my issue.  He could not do it but was sympathetic to my cause.

 

This was the absolute worst customer service experience of my life.  Though people were kind I was transferred 61 times ( yes i counted ) and had to nearly start over with every specialist repeating myself over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over.  (See where I am going with that).   Every one of them thought they were the ones to fix my problem  I became very cynical through my Journey.  One tech named Ralph guaranteed me this was fixed.  I told him if he fixed my problem he should be named CEO of ATT/DirectTV because would be the most capable person that existed at the whole company.  I even told him I would name my next dog after him if he made it happen.  Alas Ralph is not CEO and my next dog has yet to be named.  It is really too bad because I enjoyed the TV Service.

I had the same nightmare experience with these RC1 accounts. 

I've called no less than 7 times over several months and ATT/Direct TV still does not have their act together with these RC1 account. I just called AGAIN and was on the phone for 40 minutes speaking to 3 people including the retention dept mentioning how I will likely cancel my account. Then finally I get transferred to the correct dept for RC1 account and the guy picks up and he says hold on he sends me to some random queue where they want an phone account ID I don't have, amazing ATT!  Horrible horrible service.

AR1 es una basura y la ineptitud y falta de seriedad y compromiso de los agentes y supuestos supervisores es un asco!!! Como me arrepiento de tener directv. Llevo 5 días sin servicio de tv por que no hay nadie con la.disponibilidad de ayudar a resolver el error 721 que me sale en pantalla. Horita mismo llevaba 7:25 horas en línea telefónica para que me resolvieran el problema y después de pelotearme de un lado a otro me cuelgan la llamada....

Having same issue now. About to cancel my service today after 13 years. They do not care, no one has the authority to make updates or do anything when you escalate. They have shown me they do not want my business. Worst thing Directv did was getting acquired by AT&T.

It is a joke  Att sent me wrong equipment and then to fix the problem canceled my service, so it could be restarted. I have 82 phone calls into them.

Then they sent me emails to return the equipment or they would charge my account. I never canceled my service!!!!!

 I have been with DIRECTV for 20 years.

Att buying them is the worst thing ever and now they are buying Time Warner how is possible????

I also have a DIRECTV account in Co. and 15 devices on Att wireless.

I am cancelling all of it.

What I have been subject to is beyond insane.

 RC1 Account???? 

 

I had Direct TV for 26 months and then moved to a new neighborhood that did not allow dishes on the roofs of homes until 08/01/18. Once I had approval from my HOA i immediately cancelled spectrum and called to reinstate my service. The CSR said my total bill will be $62.23 and I have a $51.28 credit that will be applied to my first bill. He indicated there would not be any one time fees seeing I am an existing client. I just received my first E-statement. $205!!! 

 

I have spent nearly 4 hours ( 3 hours 53 min to be exact ) over a 2 day period trying to get this fixed. What a joke. 2 CSR told me that I did not even have an active account. The 3rd through 8th person I spoke with barely spoke english and refused to put a Supervisor on the phone. One told me the Supervisor was out smoking a cigarette and wont be back for 30 min. AMAZING RIGHT!!!

 

I run a large alternative Weekly Newspaper in Orlando and I am almost at the point of putting full page ads in my paper on how horrible DirectTV and ATT are at Customer Service! 

 

Most likely need to cancel service
