Internet address

This is in my yard. AT&T says my address isn’t recognized for internet. We just moved into this house, we homeschool, and NEED Internet. No one can seem to help. Our address isn’t recognized in the system, but this is in my yard with the address on it. Can someone come out and turn it on?!?!?

I guess what I’m saying is that att has run cable to my yard and this box, splicer or whatever has my address on it. So I know it’s run and capable. They just need to send an engineer to say yes to my address so that I can have it installed.

A splice is just a junction where wires are connected to continue their journey to somewhere else. Is there AT&T Internet service *anywhere* near you? If you have service at nearby neighbors, you can request an address verification. Be prepared to give the addresses of the neighbors near you with service. This used to take 2 - 3 weeks before the pandemic.

Perhaps other AT&T services are available to you, such as Fixed Wireless? This is provided through the cellular network and services areas where conventional (cabled) internet isn't offered. You can check your address Here to see if anything is available.

I live in a new construction house, and have 6 lots around with houses being built. My neighbor being the only other house in the neighborhood right now has att fiber. My builder checked again today and confirmed that fiber was indeed run in my neighborhood and thru my yard. If you look on the “splice box” pictured his address is 738, the top address, and mine is the 1 underneath. Each lot has a “splice” box on the lot. The att consultant that follows the directtv guy around trying to sell bundles said we have the high speed fiber but my address isn’t turned on in the system yet because it is a new construction. It used to be a lot, but after completion the building commission designated an address. It isn’t recognized in the network yet. It is activated in the usps and 911 system. Just not att yet. I say that because the sales person on the phone said those may be hang ups if not. But, it is active in all systems.

Try the address verification using the address of the neighbor with Fiber service.

I did. I went online to see if my neighbors address was recognized. It said, congratulations, you are able to receive att’s fastest blah blah blah. But my address, got a big sorry, but is available for tv. Lol.

I went to the closest att store. Very helpful. They are sending out an engineer to my address. We will see how that works out.
