Anyone else having billing and McAfee issues

ATT, the past year, has been very suspect. It all began when I switched my internet service to ATT Internet 100. I was promised a $10 discount for 1 year and $5 discount to sign up for auto pay. Well, I had to fight for the $5 discount for 5 months. I finally got this resolved after the sixth month of billing issues. Secondly, for the second time in 3 months, McAfee expired (suppose to be free). When i attempt to download McAfee states I need to pay $64.99 for an annual subscription. After an hour on chat, and uninstalling McAfee per instructions, I was advised by a supervisor they could not assist and told me to call McAfee. Well, McAfee stated ATT had to make the call on my behalf. Worst service I have experienced. Shouldn't I receive credit for not having all the services promised? This is why I changed my cell phone to a competitor. Auto pay with the competitor is taken near the due date; not so much with ATT which deducts payment five days after the invoicing. I believe they want the money more than providing exceptional customer service. (I do not blame the representatives for the issues. The blame is the leadership for not upholding the promised services.

Hi there, mstadleraz! Let's get you pointed in the right direction to get your questions answered.

Based on your forums post you have stated two things:

  1. That your auto-pay discount did not apply properly, but that is resolved already.
  2. You are having an AT&T Internet Security Suite powered by McAfee issue.

Since number one has already been resolved, we will move on to number two.

This is we suggest. To get support for AT&T Internet Security Suite powered by McAfee is only provided over the phone by dialing 1-800-288-2020.

Now we do want to give you instructions about this phone call. Once you reach a support representative, then explain the problem that your license for the Free AT&T Internet Security Suite has expired and that the only way to renew is to pay directly through McAfee.

The other thing that you can think about is that AT&T has a new Internet Security with Active Armor.  You can find out more information about that new internet feature by clicking on the fore mentioned link.

If there is anything else that we do for you, please come on back and we would like to help you the best that we can.

Thank you for using the AT&T Community Forums.
