WiFi usage/ blocking devices
I have a MAC address connected to my internet that doesn’t seem to be any of my devices. It doesn’t allow me to disconnect the device either. It reads “In order to provide uninterrupted service, this AT&T device cannot be paused, blocked, or added to a profile”. It is using close to half my internet. How do I control it?

Certain devices like iPhones have a privacy setting in WiFi that literally randomized MAC address. This is not needed on a personally owned home network and I turn it off in this case. Furthermore these mobile devices do a lot of background work in default mode, so that could be a source of data usage. Just throwing it out there, but something I would investigate.

Can you give us any information you have in order to help us help you identify this device? Do you have a name? a MAC address?
