Amazon Echo Dot

Hello, I recently purchased an Amazon Echo Dot, but I cannot get it to connect to my WiFi. I have been in contact with Amazon and done all the troubleshooting they suggested, they even went as far as to send me a new echo. The new echo also won’t connect. In my smart homes manager app in the previously connected tab I do see an amazon device, but the echo has never said it was connected to WiFi. Has anyone else had a problem with connecting their echo to WiFi and what did you do to fix it?

thank you,

kelsey

Hey @kwavrunek,

We are here to help with your Wi-Fi connections. By default your gateway combines the 2.4 and 5.0 GHz Wi-Fi network. Which can cause trouble if the device does not support 5.0 GHz bandwidth. The best thing to do is to separate the Wi-Fi names. Follow the steps under "Change Wi-Fi information with Gateway User Interface." Afterwards connect your Echo Dot to the 2.4 Ghz Wi-Fi.

Let us know if this helps.
